If you mean "yahoo's awful user interface puts the cursor at the top of
the reply box, above the quoted text" that doesn't force top posting at
all. It is actually your opportunity to proceed through the quoted text
from top to bottom inserting your reply text below each relevant piece
and DISCARDING the irrelevant pieces.
That makes your reply pointed and direct and easy to understand; this
small effort on your part saves great effort on the part of many
readers.
And of course this effort also means the next person's quoted text will be
nice and small, making this easy for them too.
