As has been said, try to access the BIOS. It's possible that you'll
have to flash the BIOS though, this was a problem with some Aspire Ones.
I think Joan said the key for the AA1 was F2--hit it while booting and
see if that lets you get to the BIOS.
If you do have to flash it, I have my own, somewhat dated page on it....
