Re: [LINUX_Newbies] questions from a real newbie

The scanner is quite likely to work if it's an older one. Older
equipment is more likely to have Linux drivers.
***It's a CanoScan N640P, about 5-7 years old. I couldn't find Linux drivers on the Canon website, but maybe there are drivers available somewhere else? I would really like to keep this scanner, as it's good and has all the things I need. And I use it a lot, so else I will have to buy a new scanner, that does work with Linux. But I don't like to spend money for things I don't need. Money is tight enough as it is.

Cheers,
Rixta Francis
