You asked this same, exact question on the 'linux' list yesterday, and
received quite a few replies, some of which asked for more information,
what exactly you were trying to accomplish.
Instead of asking the exact same question here, on LINUX_Newbies
(basically the same people as on 'linux'), why not just reply to some of
the messages that were posted to you over on the 'linux' list, and
provide a more detailed explanation, what you are trying to accomplish.
Also, 'Excel' is a Microsoft application, and does not run on Linux. You
might want to mention exactly which spreadsheet application you are
actually using, like possibly Open Office, to accomplish your task.
