[nslu2-linux] Transmission crashing since version 1.80

 

Hi,

Transmission (wonderfull bittorrent client) was running perfectly on my Synology NAS (from syno-x07 optware feeds) up to version 1.76
Since version 1.80 transmission is crashing 2 or 3 times a day.

This has also been reported on other ARM and MIPS platforms (different IPKG feeds): http://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/2842

I have tried to rebuild same versions using a native GCC on my ARM platform. It seems that my builds are running fine.

For syno-x07, IPKG builds are using a cross GCC 3.4.3
Native GCC on my target is GCC 3.4.6

Do you know if some GCC bugs (between 3.4.3 and 3.4.6) have been reported on ARM and MIPS: some code change in transmission sources may exhibit a hidden (up to now) GCC bug.
