Good night,
im new in this group, and i would be glad if someone could help me with
the following situation:
I have this scenario:
1 server with Ubuntu Server
2 clients with Ubuntu.
I developed an application, and using SSH -X in Ubuntu Server the client
machines can use this aplication with all the processing in the server.
Thats running fine..
the problem is: each client machine has a scale connected via serial port
(ttyS0). I need to use the data sent by this scale in my application.
There is a way to create a "virtual port" in the server that receives data
from the client serial port over the Ethernet? I just need to read the
client serial port, never write on it!
I searched too many things, i found socat, bidilink, netfwd, but i could
not to do it work.
I could create a file in the server with the content of the client serial
port using: $tail -f /dev/ttyS0 | ssh clientmachine "cat >>
/dev/virtualttyS0" but this way dont create a virtual port to access via a
terminal by example.
Please, do you guys have some sugestion?? Im crazy searching this!
Thanks Very Much!
