That is the problem.
Get a paper clip, safety pin, or thinnish hair pin, straighten a length
without any kinks or bumps. On the face of your CD drive, usually by the
led light, there is a little hole, poke the wire in this hole and press
it in. This is a manual release mechanism for such situations as yours.

No, I cannot eject the disk that's in there. That may be at least part
of the problem.
