Only for you Roy, only for you. When are you going to figure out that no Linux distro can do anything more than any other Linux distribution can?
Also if you read my last reply you'd know that it isn't always the kernel often times it is X itself that cannot accelerate the video! So again you're sending users barking up the wrong trees.
While you most likely mean well you do not know half of what you think you do. It is probably those over complicated bloated distributions you use that are confusing you ;)
Lose the crutches Roy and learn how to really run! It may just be a rather cathartic experience for you. Until then just keep on repeating Linux is Linux is Linux is Linux is Linux ad infinitum.
