framework started in 11.04 and the upcoming 11.10, Oneiric Ocelot. I am
afraid that 10.10 will be deadended and support run out next April as well.
I agree that 10.10 was a solid release, but sadly it is terminal and just
waiting for its demise. LTS do not get adopted, BTW. The way it works as
these are planned releases, every two years in April. The overlap by one
year for desktop versions and three years for server versions (ie. Version
10.04 will expire one year after 12.04 comes out).That means you get three
and five years support respectively. It is a sweet deal for people who do
not like to upgrade frequently and for enterprise that need stability and
not change.
