That is what I said and what a "Live Distro" is - a DEMO mode
presentation and is what is called a Live Distro CD in Linux world.

Linux Mint has been upgraded as well, Cinnamon and later.

I said I logged onto Ubuntu Linux (not any others and I said Ubuntu is a
better demonstration) and the speed of already checking several email
accounts on Ubuntu before Windows has even fully loaded is always the
case. I did not say any other flavor (version).
Ubuntu Linux is the MOST popular aside Debian and for VERY good reason.
It is that fast and popular especially because of its interface of bells
and whistles that Windows lovers love. The latest versions are rivalling
Windows 8 metro. Take a look.
The vast majority of computer users are not Usenet geeks at their memory
lane first message board with a desktop days and plain text mail only at
all. 90 percent of all users are on Windows because of MEDIA MEDIA MEDIA
presentation and ability. It is ALL the money in Mobile as well. If you
have not observed that you live under a rock.
It is another reason I mentioned Ubuntu is a best presentation of Linux
as well as Debian etc. Using a specialised version of Linux to
demonstrate it to a Windows user to convince them to come on over as I
said will get laughter and scorn.
Linux actually can not stand up to Windows fully at all. I have been
using Linux for several years and it is completely unstable compared to
Windows. I found in Windows Vista the Microsoft "self healing" is a
sophistication Linux has not dreamed about yet.
This bears out that Windows was Unix Certified and Linux and Apple/Mac
were not but only achieved "Unix-Like" certification - unstable
unsecure. That is all expert and professional rating and measuring and
industry wide standard and college and tech school curriculum period. It
is NOT a gray area left up to speculation. Unix Certification is cold
hard fact for all. Not some independent lab mention or testing. Google
it. Apparently most Linux users have no clue to what that means and
indeed have things back asserward that Linux is more stable or secure
than Windows. That is an complete insult to the community at large.
Back to speed as example I have read ezines that Gentoo for
notebook/laptop is slow or slower as compared to others as Ubuntu. I
feel indeed Linux has a unique design and features that none other do.
The greatest difference that hits you in the face like a tidal wave is
the speed of Linux compared to Windows - well there is no comparison.
That is only ONE difference where Linux is way ahead in a world of its
own. I mentioned Ubuntu for the many reasons and is why it is so popular
and raved.
....Reply ? I didn't want words read into mine I did not say. Here it is
put straight again.
