To have Windows 7 as your default OS you need to edit grub. You can follow
the instructions here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2#Configuring_GRUB_2
You need to edit the grub settings as shown. It is just a text file but
will need root permissions (password). You need to know how grub reckons
numbers. They are ordinals (starting at zero). The first entry willb e
zero. You need to change the line that says GRUB_DEFAULT= and change the
zero to whatever order Windows 7 is in the list. Then you will need to save
it.
