������ Pear OS is reported to be quite good. It is also, for the moment, quite dead; an anonymous company (there is fairly convincing evidence that it was NOT Apple) bought it in January and took it off the market; there are a couple of places which, until they receive a "cease and desist" order, are still distributing it (softpedia.com, for one), but there is zero support for the platform at the moment.
