Which is what it seems.

That's good to hear, otherwise the way in which
a Windows computer handles files could be the
problem, with the possibility that MS might find
such an outcome a useful customer trap.

About how big should I expect the downloaded
file to be? I don't have any idea how big it should
be only that it is fairly large--enough to really
eat up my GB allowance to do multiple tries.

Hmm! What alternative to using a browser would
you suggest? The matter of cutting off a without
any error message does seem to happen--I see
it from time to time, especially when I'm using a
dialup for my email and click on a link.
