Joan in Reno- That was the first thing I tried and it didn't work. How do I configure the deb package? That is supposed to automatically get the classic menu indicator to work. I know that the classic menu indicator won't work in kubuntu untill I install some missing dependencies but my efforts so far haven't worked. I also need to configure a kmail account and I don't have the slightest idea how to. I really am a newbie.

Subject: [LINUX_Newbies] Classic menu indicator
I tried to install the classic menu indicator in Kubuntu and it refuses to work. It worked great in Ubuntu but I switched to Kubuntu and it doesn't work. It is in the muon kubuntu software depository so I shoul be able to get it to work. Any ideas ?
