XFCE for Mint comes out about 2-4 weeks later than Mate and Cinnamon. Cinnamon is a resource hog.
On my old netbook, I run XFCE. As far as I know, there is not blessed LXDE version of Mint though I wish
there were. For example, the XFCE version of Mint 17.2 just came out.
