Are you certain the Hard Disk is good?
I would recover as much data as possible before doing anything else.
Is not your proposal [sudo grub-install /dev/XXX] used to install programs after a valid boot?

After a crash the xubuntu 19.04 cannot boot.
I tried
boot-repair by live cd.
Its said its fine.
It did do nothing.
Problem still existing.

Message Versuch ausserhalb der Festpkatte hd0 zu schreiben.


Sometimes during booting try its said:
recovery
but it did not work.


Shall I try
sudo grub-install /dev/XXX

What is xxx for?

Is the HD  sda1?

PC has only Xubuntu
and only one HD.
