Setting up Ubuntu with a router is really not much different from
Windoze. The key is setting up the router. You did not mention
using wireless so I will assume you are going to be wired. Basically,
you connect the output of the cable modem to the input or WAN plug
on the router. Then you hook up cat 5 or cat 6 ethernet cables to
your two computers. Most routers come pre-configured to pretty much
work out of the box. I think I have even used Comcast in the past
and don't particularly remember anything special about setting it up.

The router will come with a quick install that should tell you
the IP address of the web setup and a default username and password.
Just point your browser at the default IP address and go for it.
