Looks like Super grub2 is everywhere
https://download.cnet.com/Auto-Super-Grub-Disk/3000-2094_4-10829335.html Appears to be the Super Grub without the '2'

I did download it from the above link and will try it out later.

As for Knoppix, I don't know if it would help or not.

Super grub 2 will boot it for you and you can repair it your self.

You will have to look hard to find Super Grub it is much better than Super Grub 2.

They are both free and you should not be without them.
