I don't use F-Spot and can do without Tomboy and Gnome-Do. What other apps would be affected by the removal of Mono from Mint 6? I don't do any coding, though I sometimes play around with Ruby. Otherwise my computer-use is standard, but with a fair emphasis on multimedia apps, and I cannot imagine life without my Gnome desktop.
