Re: [LINUX_Newbies] Chrome on eeePCs

You would be better advised to install Ubuntu 9.10 Netbook Remix. Then you
can add the Google repository and install Chrome. I have Chromium, but today
I got Chrome to install so have both Chrome and Chromium. the reason why you
are having difficulty is that Xandros is stale. The dependencies would not
work as the distro is at least 2 years old and out of date.

Another option would be to install ChromeOS to a usb key. I did this and it
works fine, but it is still in alpha and not reliable.

BTW, I have a eeePC701 and and run Ubuntu just fine.
