Re: [LINUX_Newbies] OpenSuSE help

Thanks I am back in Kubuntu tonight. I managed to avoid re-installing.
Somehow the update for Karmic left out a package that was required,
xserver-xorg-nv. I had to go through all of the packages from the recovery
console to figure it out, but in the end managed.

My next task will be to fix Fedora which I messed up by trying to compile
nvidia proprietary drivers. They do not handle kernel mode setting in
Plymouth so it won't boot. I am going to have to go through the same thing
as I did with Ubuntu, if I can get into a recovery console and re-install
nouveau. How do you recommend a Fedora recovery? Do I use the CD or do I try
to change grub?
