It's a jffs2 message indicating that the CRC for a flash block is not
correct.

Try reflashing the device.

By-the-way, why SlugOS 4.8? SlugOS 5.3 has been out for a while now.

PS: oh yeah - the original problem might be something as simple as the
wrong password for the root account? The password is preserved in the
sysconf so if you set it past, it may well be that old password that is
in force.
