In my world preloaded with Linux machines are irrelevant. Do they even still exist? Don't answer that as it is inconsequential. What concerns me is that the vast overwhelming majority of machines that will be made at some point in time in the future will likely be shipped with this new "feature" and that may preclude their usefulness entirely for me.
At the very least it is going to cause endless headaches in Linux support. Yet another hurdle for the great unwashed masses of Linux newbies to overcome. like we need more problems! This is sure shaping up to be an intentionally manufactured one targeted against Linux.
Any way you cut it I am going to be adversely affected by this with absolutely no positive benefits. Thanks for screwing me again Microsoft!
