There is a moderator here, and members are put under moderation by default when they join. This particular member had previously been taken off of moderation, so the message went to the group unfiltered. The member has been put back under moderation. Trust me, if this group was unmoderated, you'd be seeing a lot more spam than one every few months. I've been doing the job mostly silently for over a decade, though others have jumped in and out from time to time.
