I have no idea what you guys are doing. I run mint 6, 7, & 8 and with
all of them I have about 30 choices for screen resolution. I am
running on a Dell Latitude D830 laptop. My options are everything from
1920 X 1080 down to 320 X 240. Mint inherits this from Ubuntu. They
make no changes to it.
