Nope, it's more desktop-ish than ever--as you know, they're using Fedora
12 or 13 as their basis, complete with most of its most moronic
ideas--though, possibly thanks to you, at least they have a little more
security than Windows.
It seems, from the CentOS forums, that they might have broken LDAP with
5.5., adding a sysconfig/ldap file, with absolutely no documentation.
Since their excuse for using 5 year old kernels is the whole stability
thing, this might do you guys at Canonical some good, as well as add
credence to MS' talk of TCO.
