OK, I tried cd first,no difference.
Also tried the version 8 Java:

Well that is why I like the "click on this to install method". Im just not good at finding a dot in wrong place right now.
Someone else send me a link the file download into my software editor, and it WAS recieved. However, I was unable to find it on my machine. In other words, the software editor accepted it, but it is cyberland now.
Also it was for Xubuntu, I am
using Ubuntu, which could be the problem. Speaking of Linux versons, If I should be on something besides Ubuntu, let me know- I have no idea which Linux to install. I just need one that is easy to run TOS.
