Jerry, you answered your own question :-)

by default, the docroot for Apache is /var/www/ or /var/www/html if it exists.

You can also change this by editing the Apache config and pointing it
anywhere you need...

I have no idea what that zip file contains though, so who knows.

Chances are, you will be able to unzip the contents to /var/www/ and
be good. you may need to move them to /var/www/html though.

If there are any CGI programs, you'll need to move them to the cgi-bin
directory.
