Thanks for the info, guys. I thought the price was too good to pass up so at least I have a nice bit of portable storage if nothing else works. How's Kingston from your experience (value-wise)? I have a couple of their drives purchased with Mint 7 and they seem to work fine though only one is persistent. Oh, btw, J, "Felicia" is Mint 6, which I don't plan to give up until this machine crashes or is retired.
