Oh, no! Not the sudo vs su debate again? I thought that this was put to rest
a long time ago. This debate is unresolvable. Each has its advantages and
disadvantages. People tend to take sides based on their distribution and
what it uses anyway. So it ends up as my distribution is better than yours
which is pointless. Use what you like and what works for you and stop
looking over your shoulder at the other guy. You won't find this debate
raging within a distribution like Ubuntu. People are happy with sudo.

I do like being able to login as root from time to time and used su for my
first four years of Linux before converting to K/Ubuntu's way. When I use
Fedora and find myself adding sudo anyway. To each his own which is why we
use Linux. We have choice. Enjoy freedom of choice but don't abuse it by
trying to take away someone else's right to choose something different. That
would not be cool as freedom becomes irrelevant.
