You need to install the OEM version of virtual box instead of the one
in the repositories to enable the USB ports. Then you have to make
sure you are added to your VBox users group (see here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VirtualBox/USB). After that, you
will need host/guest addon installed (this will be auto-installed when
right-clicking on "my computer" then "manage devices" -> USB ->
drivers -> search for/install driver)
