Seems to depend upon distribution. I've had trouble using it with RH
based iso files--but this is probably an anaconda (the RH installer)
defect.
In general, it seems to work quite well with Debian based distributions.
Many others, (Arch and FreeBSD to think of two), now have images that
can simply be directly copied to a USB, with the dd command.
