Are you attempting to run both systems as a dual boot, or wanting to replace the Win 7 with Ubuntu?
Are you installing Ubuntu from a USB drive?

I am trying to install Ubuntu 18.04 onto my HP ENVY 700-327c. I am running Win 7 pro. I get to where. I select standard installation and install updates. Upon selecting continue, I get the little hamster wheel running around and it just goes on and on. I have let it run for an hour with no progress.
