OS Repair will repair GUI.
GUI will function when booting from a live bootable Ubuntu CD or USB.

You will need a live bootable CD or USB drive. If you don't have one, you will need to create the bootable removable media on a different computer.
Good luck!

Good afternoon

During doing daily jobs,
Xubuntu became slower and slower and then
I could not click a button.
I can only do F1 STRG ALT.
How can I repair the OS?
This is written on a friends computer.

Regards and Thank You
