Actually, a very old Linux book has a nice guide to using the terminal.

It's from the Linux documentation project, and the book itself is probably
late nineties or early 2000's. The first half or so of the book is about
installation, and way out of date. The second part though, (at the link I
gave you) with its shells and commands section can be helpful.
