Did you try another Linux Live CD to see if your sound card failed or something? Did you check for sound tools in Synaptic? Did you let Zorin Forum know, maybe others have the problem, too?

I installed "Zorin 12.3" OS on a computer . In the audio section I am only offered the "HDMI output" and no input choices. How and if this can be changed to get "Line in" and "Line out" as choices. Zorin 12 allowed these choices.
