[LINUX_Newbies] How can I repair xfce?

Do Mai 02 11:35:18 2013
Good morning.

How can I repair xfce?

I am using Xubuntu.
It happend twice
that I destroyed
I do not know why
xfce.

Example: Some shortcut buttons are not active.

I tried to use:

xfwm4 --replace

After this
xfce does look a little bit better.
But it is not ok.

Yesterday I did update Xubuntu to

Raring Ringtail

But the problem was the same.
Does an update from 12.10 to 13.04
keep all problems?

Could

sudo apt-get autoremove

help?

xfce is program like gimp
so is their a way to repair it?

Regards

Sophie
