Re: [nslu2-linux] Fwd: file 5.29 package for Synology Diskstation (request)

Hi, guys

If you're using old Optware, then there's no chance for it to be updated, and you should try Optware-ng -- it's currently official nslu2-linux Optware continuation project.

If you're already using Optware-ng, I think you've chosen the wrong feed. You should use buildroot-armv5eabi-ng-legacy, since armv5 Synology kernel is too old for buildroot-armv5eabi-ng. If you're using the latter, segfaults are to be expected. Otherwise, I should investigate, but it works fine on my platforms, and I don't have an armv5 Synology.

Regards,
Alex

This is a package (tgz) for /opt with a compilation of file 5.29 on a
Synology Diskstation 4.3 system.

I don't know how to package for your system.

The file that is being shipped segfaults on all ocassions and also
segfaults before writing output if sent to a pipe.

So these are just the files from make install.

My CPU is Marvell 88f6281 (ARM).

I would donate $5 for an updated package in the repos as I said.

Regards.
