No, I'm talking about the CMOS battery. That's a different battery that,
(to oversimplify a bit) powers the motherboard itself.
But many computer clocks aren't that accurate, which is why people use some
form of ntp (Network Time Protocol) to keep time on their machines.
It's usually called ntp or nptd.
