Linux Mint is perhaps the easiest Linux distribution available. I've been using Linux for probably over 10 years with dual boot with Windows 10, but I have not given up on Windows completely because of the couple programs I use there, namely Quicken and Legacy Family Tree. However, I have been thinking of migrating them to my Linux VirtualBox and they should probably do fine that way. If you are not a fan of the command-line (terminal), you might not become a Linux power-user because so many things are done better via the command line, which I really don't like that much myself. I prefer to do things graphically and documentation can be sketchy or way over your head with Linux. In an effort to explain a problem, a lot of Linux gurus way over explain and still might not zero in on your problem. But if you are only doing email, browsing the web, social networks, music, video and not web development or server-side technologies, I imagine Linux Mint will serve you well. Just my thoughts - good luck! Jerry in Michigan
