Is there a way to eliminate all password protection on Mint or is there a distribution where this is possible ?
Well, yes, there is. You can create a user with root privileges, or give yourself root privileges. I STRONGLY recommend that you back up often, though, because doing this will very likely get you into trouble that you will not be able to extricate yourself from otherwise.
Do consider a strong password that's easy to type; for example, a "pattern" password, where you "draw" a picture on the keyboard.
