Re: [LINUX_Newbies] Newbie seeking info

Regarding puppy, I will add that it gives users a stable option to have a
Linux install permanently on their drive without changing the partitions or
bootloader (ie, via frugal install). It can be a nice jumping off point
for safely playing around with more permanent Linux OS and not having to
worry loosing it on a little drive. Even so I wouldn't recommend it for
everyday use unless on older hardware. In the older puppy versions
though, they managed to take a computer that I was almost done with and
start using it regular.
