And Chad does an excellent job - he beats me to just about anything that needs to be done on the list. Very little gets past and there are usually several each day that try.

As he states, only new members are moderated until they show they are legit, otherwise they are banned. In this case it appears a long standing member got hit by a spambot or similar so it got through. It can happen to anyone - it was not long ago that someone spammed all the contacts on one of my hotmail accounts with an almost identical type of message as this. So far it seems to have been a one off.

This is not a major problem unless it continues to happen then it will be dealt with accordingly.

I will take this opportunity to publically thank Chad for his help with the list. He does an excellent job and it really is appreciated as I too don't have the time I would like to commit to the list.
