On topic though, it would help if you could post your script...
another suggestion, though, would be to check out the various mailing
lists at http://www.python.org/community/lists/.

This is more a list for asking new user type things, and the
occasional linux discussion. The sister/brother group to this one,
linux@yahoogroups tends to cover more technical things...

But if you can post the code, I may be able to help.

Or you can try one of the Python lists... but they will also want you
to either be VERY descriptive, or post the code so they can look at
it.
