RH certs are quite expensive.

Training is also very expensive. Judging from Craig's list postings in
the NY area, I don't know how much help it would be if you don't have
experience to go with it.

On the other hand, because you don't have the experience, it might be
the thing that gets you in the door.
Hard to say, the way things are right now, at least around here.

It's quite possible that your experience in support could get you right
in there.
