[LINUX_Newbies] Auto Docking When Application Minimized

Once again, can someone please tell me which Linux OS supports automatic
docking of a software application to the panel, when you simply minimize
the application? I know there are some add-ons, but those do not run
automatically to my knowledge. You still have to remember to click on
them first or you will still lose what you were doing in an application
when you click the hyphen (-) to minimize an application. What in the
world was Unity or whoever thinking to get rid of this functionality?
It's absolutely insane! I can't tell you how stupid that was!
