Thank you!
I have Ubuntu 14.04 in one of my Foxconn computers, aqnd very satisfied so far. There are as few issues with
wifi and printers which I will resolve. However, I have another Foxconn or Dell that I intend to replace the XP. I think
I`ll try the Mint 17,but want to know a bit more about mate or Cinnamon. This is not a hobby. I intend to wind up
with a home office with Mac and Linux OS computers and/or combination of. I am getting a bit of feedback from
some of my associates of why my reasons. I believe that Linux/Mac is the future of computing. I could be wrong, but
that`s just the way I see it. Microsoft will go on,but I see rebels riding out to challenge. That is what really confines
competition and free enterprise. I take free enterprise very seriously.

I'm trying Mint Mate 16 and saw mention of the new 17 RC on Distrowatch.com, so I thought I'd share some news regarding drivers and lack of wired connection...
"When offline, the Driver Manager asks you to plug in the installation medium and proceeds to mount it as a temporary package repository. It's now much easier for instance to install Linux Mint on laptops equipped with Broadcom wireless chipsets, and you no longer need an an ethernet cable."
