I asked this question before, but did not receive any responses.
Can anyone tell me where (in what directory) to look for the executable
files after I download a new application through Synaptics Package
Manager? For some reason, many of them download successfully, but the
ikons to launch the programs are not appearing anywhere in the menus.
I'm using Kubuntu 9.10.
