[LINUX_Newbies] Mandriva 2010 - Upgrade to previous version

 

SYSTEM:
Mandriva 2010 (Fresh install)
DELL Inspiron 1501

PROBLEM:
Update program popup that asks to "upgrade" to the spring 2009 version.

RESEARCH:
After google-ing and looking through forums, this seems to be a known bug. Mandriva is a aware and a fix is supposed to be in place. I couldn't find any information on what the "fix" was and how to fix it though.

QUESTION:
How do I patch the system properly without reverting to the old version of the software?
