Jeff, just wanted to say thanks for that answer and Kelvin, good question that many of us neo's are afraid to ask. There was a time when I cringed at any download that didn't end with ".deb"...and that time hasn't ended, to be honest. There are times when I've used Archive Manager to extract a package only to find out that I had no idea where the hell it went, which is, IMHO, another great advantage to biting the bullet and jumping into the terminal.
